How will my child benefit?

Y Prentis will employ your child for up to two years whilst they work towards their Work Based Diploma in their chosen trade.

Our Apprentices get really good experience with a range of companies on different contracts helping them develop their CV as well as developing relationships with a number of companies who may give them employment when they are qualified.

Our apprentices are more likely to complete their Work Based Diploma. Rather than relying on one contractor, who may not have work for the full two year’s, we bring in support from many companies across our partnership.This means that your child is more likely to become fully qualified and is not at as much risk from contract fluctuations in the construction industry.

What's involved?

During the time your child is with us they will have placements with a number of construction companies giving them the work experience they need to get their diploma.

Your child will also go to college on day release, giving them the opportunity to learn underpinning skills of their trade and meet up with their friends. They will be getting real and varied experience as well as increasing levels of responsibility as they gain more experience.
