Job description
Y Prentis is recruiting Apprentice Groundworkers for Cardiff and Rhondda Cynon Taf area. The successful candidates will undertake a 2.5 year apprenticeship, spending four days on site and one day a week at The Construction Hub at studying towards a City & Guilds Level 3 in Construction and Civil Engineering Operations. The course will cover a range of subjects, including:
- Working in the Construction Sector in Wales
- Planning and Evaluating Work in the Construction Sector
- Conform to general workplace health, safety and welfare
- Conform to productive work practices
- Move, Handle or store resources
- Civil engineering – Groundwork knowledge
- Set out secondary dimensional work control
- Install Drainage
- Prepare and mix construction related materials
- Operate powered units, tools or pedestrian plant, machinery or equipment
- Install, maintain and remove temporary excavation support
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Salary: £196.00 per week
(Salary changes to National Minimum Wage after completing your first year)
