Josh Williams, an apprentice bricklayer from Tylorstown, will be going to Kenya on a Habitat for Humanity build. The trip for Josh is fully funded by Y Prentis, who will be helping to build houses for locals who are in desperate need.
Recently Josh came to the Melin Homes offices to meet with Georgina, who has been on a previous Habitat for Humanity build. Georgina answered some of Josh’s questions about what to expect from these trips, as well as tell him how life changing it was for her.
Josh said; “I am overwhelmed that Y Prentis has supported me to go on this trip. Besides a childhood trip to Ireland, I have never been abroad, so this is a huge deal for me. After speaking to Georgina I am so excited, as she said that her trip gave her a life changing experience. I am really looking forward to using the skills I am learning in my apprenticeship to build homes for people who need them in Kenya.”
